Digital Portfolios: Designing Authentic Tasks for 21st-Century Learning
There has never been a better time. In an educational environment where so much time (and money) is given to standardized tests, it's time to reclaim authentic learning and enable each student to demonstrate what they've learned in ways that don't involve filling in a bubble. In this session, you'll learn how to implement digital portfolios in your classroom in ways that will dramatically increase students' reflection on their work, create new links to parents and guardians, and demonstrate the quality of learning that is really going on in your amazing classroom. You'll walk away with a list of software options to explore, a set of activities you can use to integrate portfolios in your class, and having had a tutorial on how to set them up.
